Bible references to the promised land

The land must not be sold permanently because the land is Mine and you are but aliens and My tenants.
~ Leviticus 25:23

Scripture has at least 170 references to the land that God gave to the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God promised the land of Canaan to the Jews as an unconditional covenant – 55 times the Bible records that God confirmed the gift with an oath. Twelve of those times He stated that the covenant was everlasting.

The boundaries of the Promised Land are identified in Scripture [see Boundaries].
